2. Favorite protagonist
I refuse to pick just one.
For the longest time, since I first knew anything about Silent Hill 3, Heather was my favourite protagonist, and that has really stuck. She’s sassy , probably the only teenage girl who genuinely loves her dad , and uses a bloody katana . A katana .
And then Downpour came out. At first, I was like ‘wow, okay. Murphy. Seems like a tool.’ But throughout his many trials and hardships, he found a place in my heart as one of my favourites. Also , him letting the birds go is the cutest thing ever , even if it’s the exact same voice clip over and over .
And then, there’s the man who started it all . The original protagonist , Harry Mason , who will always have a place in my heart . He went through hell and back trying to save his daughter from the clutches of a cult. What a dad . When he died in SH3 , I was genuinely saddened . Which , I suppose , isn’t too hard to do seeing as I sob over video games all the time .
